What is this? 2014 Husqvarna, but the clutch says Husaberg on it?

I just recently bought a bike from a guy.

He says it's a 2014 Husqvarna TE300, but the clutch case says Husaberg on it and the swingarm looks different from a Husqvarna.

How can I tell the difference?

Thanks.

This is the first batch of Husqvarna bikes from KTM Austria factory
year models 2014.

Previous models made were KTM & HUSABERG two stroke models last year 2013 for Husaberg name. Factory named Husqvarna brand name from 2014
and decided to stop Husaberg :mad:

Factory used left over casings from Husaberg 2013 two stroke models which had identical cases.

That is the reason you have Husaberg brand name on cases.

2014, last year for Hussberg, first year for KTM built Husqvarna. Main difference was Begs had PDS suspension and Husky had linkage.

2013 was the last year of Husaberg. they didn't make anything in 2014.

so that is2T Husky. can't recall what the rear end was on a 2T Husky in 2014?

trust it was what I see? I duggest you look at the chassis number and disprove that it might have Bergitis; a condition in which the bike is pissed off with its new 'LOW' status.

how do you know that they aren't 2013s?

They were still selling new Husabergs in 2015 but that isn't the same thing?

Taffy

They were “25th anniversary models” with minor changes over the ‘13s. The manual, frame and title said 2014 on mine + different plastics and Boyesen reeds. (13’s had Vforce)

Sorry ‘14 was last year for Husaberg and the earth is not flat!

OK....we didn't have any mention on this whole web site I don't recall and I will try and find out if they ever sold any in Europe. dealers were fighting each other over here in a 3-way scrap for position.
KTM v red 'n white Husky v white Husky/Husaberg.

by the way, if you start manufacturing bikes in 1989, 2013 was the 25th year. 2014 was the 26th year. I can see now why they sold them in the States only.

I had a 2014 Husaberg TE300, 25th Anniversary Edition, same year as the Husqvarna's were released. Whether they were manufactured in 2013 or 2014, we do not know. Graphics were different to a 2013. Google images of both models, clearly different bikes are displayed. Husqvarna had black rims and linkage, Husaberg PDS and blue rims.

I just recently bought a bike from a guy he says its a husqvarna 2014 te300 but the clutch case says husaberg on it and the swing arm looks different from a husqvarna. How can i tell the difference? Thanks
You have a 2014 Husaberg with Husqvarna tank shrouds and black rims.

We had 2014 "25th Anniversary Editions" here (Aus) too.
Usual BOld New Graphics with anniversary stickers, but different valving in 4CS forks was better and I think shock valving change, sold out real quick
