FS 650 starter motor

Although I can start my bike 1st or second kick, it would be nice to have an electric start that doesn't just cry at me...
Can someone tell me what uprated starter I need please?

Google is your friend,

CBR or R6 starter, good battery, is the starter spinning through and not catching? Theres a shimming mod that works.

2005 model,

R6 is stronger than CBR. I do it WITH the correct spacer. look up the word 'Beefy starter' on ebay.

the shimming kit is acalled the 'starter repair kit' or SRK.

If it's crying at you, it's prob the torque limiter or the sprague. Not the starter.

with the gears exposed as pictured, hold your finger over the bearing shaft on the small one toward the rear (limiter), bump the starter briefly, if the limiter doesn't spin the sprague outer, shim the limiter per the owners doc. if it does spin the outer on the sprague, but not the inner, try taffy's spring kit, or buy a new inner.
