Hi, my name is Antonio and I'm from Sevilla (Spain).
I have a Husaberg FE 390 2010, I use it to do enduro and also for rally / raids, I have put in the subframe converted to fuel tank gaining four extra liters approximately.
I have been with the bike for about a year, I like the general behavior very much, it is very versatile for the use I give it, to do enduro by the mountain, and also to make tracks.
I have made some trip with her about three hundred kilometers a day, and very happy, now I have the thought of going to Morocco for a week with her.

In Spain, I organize an amateur roadbook test called XTREM300 Roadbook. It is a small national championship of 6 scoring races. Each test is about three hundred kilometers of navigation only with roadbook.

Sorry for my English...!!

Os dejo una foto con mi Husaberg FE 390 en una de las pruebas que organizamos, esta entre Sevilla y Huelva en el Parque Nacional de Doñana.

Hola Sevillano

You got pics of the plumbing at the xtra subframe tank

Gracias

I'm going to look for the pictures and show them to you.

What I did was to close the holes in the subframe with plastic welding, in the lower part we put a metal thread with an O-ring, which we then added plastic welding and a double-component chemical glue. We joined the main tank in the lid of the gas pump, in the lid I made a drill and put a gas tap, which with a screwdriver I can open or close according to use or not all the capacity of the tank, according to whether I'm going to make a long or enduro route. In the high part I put another racord with a valve for air to enter and no gasoline, this method is not very good at all, because having the bike something lying throws gasolian, so I had to put two valves. I made a total of three adaptations, in one of them I tried to pass a tube of gasoline from the rear vent to the tube of the fuel cap by canceling the valve of the fuel cap to have passage in two directions, and putting a valve through over. It seems to work well, and it does not run out of gas, the one that comes out of the subframe vent returns to the main tank.

The only problem that has this system is that it is somewhat slow to fill, because only gasoline passes through an 8mm tube maybe putting two 8mm racords connecting to the main is faster, although I do not care since normally the rally I'm about 300 kms away, with the two tanks I do about 230/240 kms, so in the full refueling without waiting for the butt to fill, and I have to do the kilometers.

Greetings.
