Hey there husaberg owners. My name is Justin and I want to test ride a Husaberg 2005 FE 650. I think I might buy one but I want to get a feel for one to make sure it's the bike for me. Anybody got a Husaberg that rides in the Oregon Coast Area that I can meet up with and do a test run?

Check the map on the left side of the frontpage. You might be able to find someone close. I think BOSS is located in Oregon.

Test ride

Not many dealers have a 650 in stock, I know that Ricky does not.
We were discussing dealership possibilities with a shop in Tillamook, Trask Mtn Cycle, but we have not come to a conclusion yet. We do have a new shop opening in Medford within about 60 days, and he'll have a 650 in stock. Your best bet in the short term, if you don't feel like driving a long distance, would be to find someone on this forum and meet up. Best of luck, and let me know if you have any additional questions.

Cheers,

Brett Saunders

Medford

I have one in Medford you could try...just received it...depending on where you are, the coast is only about 2 hours away. I plan on riding sometime Sunday or Monday evening. If you want to check it out sooner, you could hook up with my business partner...he has it in his garage. PM me if your interested...We've had 3 people try it out so far and they now all want one.

Hey guys,
Thanks for offering all of the test rides. However now that I hear 24% of KTM is being bought out by Polaris, I've been thinking that once this transaction is completed Polaris will dump Husaberg if it doesn't make profit. So I'm thinking I'll wait a while and see what happens. Thanks for all of the offers

buy one so they dont

besides its a technology share deal...if they bought 51% of the shares, then I would worry. KTM needs quads anyway....maybe we'll see a husaberg quad.

You wouldn't want a Husaberg anyways. It's one of the most poorly designed, heavy, slow and unexciting bikes available to the general public.
Reverse psychology at work...

Please read my post in that forum, it should ease your misgivings.
Thanks, Alan

I'm sorry guys, but the truth may be much less fun and dramatic than it would appear at first blush.
Taken from the article written in the last post;
"Additionally, Polaris and KTM Power Sports' largest shareholder, Cross Industries AG ("Cross"), have entered into option agreements which, under certain conditions in 2007, either Cross may purchase Polaris' interest in KTM Power Sports AG or.... Yada yada yada.... Cross' principal shareholders are KTM CEO Stefan Pierer and KTM CFO Rudolf Knünz....

A bulletin from KTM to it's dealers spells it out much more clearly - KTM and Polaris are already owned by the SAME TWO GUYS!
Just rich people moving tokens around on the board, no more or less.
It may also make KTM american enough to import products from the EEC and escape some tariffs while simultaneously allowing Polaris to take advantage of KTM's very effective global marketing infrastructure.
P.S. Our hearts go out to you in England today. Best Wishes, Alan

No worries, ya'll!
Test ride and buy if you like it.
The issue is the same as it was in the schoolyard; You will like it and only the first taste is free...
I mis-spoke earlier, my apologies. Please check my post in the last thread, I'm still new to this and unfamiliar with the lingo.
