in the overhead view am i seeing a yellow reflection or a pair of yellow stripes;one in the front of the guard and the other up the side of the front # plate area?

if that's a stripe-they've lost it completely.

Taffy

Its not just any old stripe its a Racing stripe

Too bad; not enough changed to buy a new bike yet and don't like the color. I might be wrong but it looks like they thought: "ok, yet another year is covered". Somehow I don't see a "line" in it that flows smoothly into other parts of the bike. Too many seperate area's with one color makes it look like the bike was put together from leftover stock. I think they need to call the designer from TM to give it a "quick-over". I wonder what the other designs looked like they dropped for this one.

On the other hand, maybe change it into all black, hmmm. Na, I think I will keep my 470 for now.

Okay guys here is what they would look like with black or all blue plastics

Risky1,

You are the man! I'll take the blue model, thank you.

I think they would look alot better with either of these color schemes also...

I did not change the color I just asked for some help because i had seen some other people do it on that "other" site...

BLUE PLEASE!!!
Although the red/black is very nice also. Why not have an importer that is active on the forum (US maybe) make these suggestions to Husaberg. Maybe we are just in time and I will order a new model and hopefully many more off course :)

The blue looks awesome.

How about changing the frame protectors to blue, blue fork guards and black wheels. Maybe some more yellow graphics. I think we're on to something here 8)

Several criticise some of Hsb decisions but in the end i believe they made several nice changes:

Tail Light...beautifull !!!
The old model is UGLY !...i never like it and if i had one of those i replaced on the spot.

Color ccheme...its not that bad !...
...compared with '05 models.
I made pics of same size and switched back and forward and '06 is much nicer.

Black frame, side stand, etc...Perfect !!!
As you can see, it will give more freedom for color schemes...
Black and Yellow is nice.
Hsb should have also with a bit of luck an optional black fuel tank.
It would be nice if Hsb made fuel tanks also in blue and red...
...Imagine a Black & Red Hsb also with red hubs and rims :)
...or an all black Hsb inc. rims and hubs...or an all black except with yellow tank, blue alu fuel cap, blue Talon hubs (i checked with Talon importer) with golden rims !!!.

...ad the fact that KTM for '06 is dropping the white radiator covers and making them in black !!!...

Also the new angled oil cap its good...and the more i look (in special moving back and forward the '05 vs '06 pics) the more im convinced (i may be wrong) that now theres more space between rad and fuel tank that will possibly let install a electric fan...

Not be sorry for not have dual camshaft...im not...i still system used by Hsb, LC4s & EXCs with a screw and counternut...cheaper, easier and faster to adjust valves.

I even used a trick that i (forgot exact values) learned here long, long ago to adjust valves w/o filler gauge in my LC4...its even better than using a filler gauge !

What you need is continue to increase reability...
...and Hsb make black plastics (inc fuel tank) and maybe even optional blue and red tanks :)

PS: Hsb allready makes blue fork and frame guards...check previous parts manuals...KTM lists in their HPC the black wheels with DID Dirtstar Rims...but i dont know if wheels are compatible in special the rear one because offsets of sprocket and disc...but i have a feeling that they will, correct me if im wrong.

PSS: can i ask for an electric fan kit ?

Maybe an idea that gives Husaberg the edge back over other brands: put you personal bike together. Have all parts available in several colours, bring the 400 and 501 engine back maybe offer a sport exhaust system like FP or Akrapovich and let the customer order them any way they want. Up to some level you could do this in the past, as to e-start, 18/19 rear wheel for example. I know this would cost more but I would be willing to pay a bit more instead of buying the stuff I like extra on the aftermarket.

I like the Berg staying mostly yellow and blue as a nod to its heritage. And as far as black goes, sure it is nice, but seems to lose its luster and show scrathches sooner than other colors.

If they ever change the tank, I'd love to see it "clear" or whatever it has been called. Similar to the KTM, and TM tanks.

As for the above pics, The one mostly blue was my favorite. Except for the rims...

Husabomber said it best. What are the colors of the Swedish flag? Yellow and Blue. Represent the homeland, is what I say. Just imagine THIS site in any other colors, weird....

agree 100% and the colour you're looking fore is 'opaque'.

identify yourself with one colour and stick with it. yellow/blue is great and hangs together well. the black should compliment it and does but they've got to start spending money on getting it right.

there has got be a better way to get the blue and yellow together than what they did on the 06. i personally liked the 02-03 styling

I thought it was one of the best looking 'bergs to date. Although, I think the round peephole behind the radiators looks out of place.

I think the shrouds might give a problem in case you get stuck behind them. Since they have a funny corner below the hole pointing backwards.
And if I see it correct on the pictures taken from above, there seem to be two vent areas (L=R)between the tank and shrouds here also. So one could get a bit warm during those cold enduro's?? Or just a bit warmer when riding on an MX track on a hot summerday?? Or maybe I am thinking too much ahead now??

Maybe the reason its a peephole instead of a more triangular format may be to hide an optional electric fan in the right side...of course that left had to have the extra plastic for simetry.

If its not because to cover a fan, that mistake from Hsb can be corrected with a cutter...if you are skillfull as me :)
(I done some artesanal plastic cutting in plastic side panels, headlight masks and rad scoops that no one could say, if they didnt knew, that was hand made ...you need to have a very sharp cutter and a firm pulse )
