Hello Husaberg forum.

1st of all i would like to say that i find this comunity to be very cool and helpfull. i really like the Husaberg brand.

I am in the final stage of purchasing a September 2007 Husaberg FE 450, Black wheels, black WP forks, yellow/blue and black plastics.

Could i request some usefull info on what to look for when going to look/try the bike before buying?

Previous owner claims bike has very low hours.. but it does look very cleen.

thank you very much for your help.

a big thumbs up form Lisbon, Portugal

the 2007 should be a nice bike. all that would be wrong when selling is to look for

smoke when blipping the throttle = it needs the engine stripped and the liner nikasiled and a new piston.
a grinding noise from the right hand side ignition cover. also it should be dry in here. if wet with oil then you may have mains gone (the noise) and cracked crankcases (the wet/the oil).

otherwise they are quite good.

Hi.
Thanks for the info.

Are parts still available for these husabergs? Are they compatible with ktm parts?

Thanks once again.

parts are drying up. mechanical parts are OK but plastics are now stopped as of this week you can't get any radiator shrouds at all.

but the rest you can get.

I have purchased the bike! I took it for a test run and it was absolutly amazing!
Picking it up this weekend!
Might need some help with the digital speedo.. how to reset trip and set the time??
I have the service manual but not the user manual

Thanks

Cant wait to have her home

well done on your purchase! ask the old owner 'when' repairs were done and to what? receipts as well?

the 450s can drop the heads off the valves, not all of them and nobody knows why. my guess is that over revving, if even only once causes what i call 'percussion' in the valves and then one day the heads fall off. this is nearly always the exhaust valve head.

so consider when you have got used to the bike just doing this one precautionary job. I'd rather tell you and you make the decision thajhn sit on this information and say nothing.
