As the owner of a newly acquired 14 TE300 I am looking to get it set up the way I want. I have been searching for a plastic clutch case guard primarily for boot rash that is affixed with the factory mounting points. Polisport has them for the 14-16 KTM's:

...which also fits the 14-16 Husqvarna's as the case is different, but the same shape:

However the Husaberg case is a different story altogether, taller and no beveled edge:

Anyone have a solution for this style of guard? Has anyone tried to adapt the KTM/Husqvarna one to a Berg?

Thanks.

resin

Hi Oxy. Nice to see such clear pix. Those Polisport parts are sure a good fit. A bit less elegant, shoot the engine cover with primer, then brush on fibreglass resin. Let harden fully. Should outlast the bike. Nearly free as well. Avoid this on oil pans, etc. Resin prevents cooling air flow.

Suppose you would have to buy a ktm or husqvarna clutch cover for your Berg, then you will be able to use that polisport cover. A company here in South Africa makes carbon stuff, have a look at them here:

Enduro / Offroad / Trials - Husqvarna - Husqvarna 250/300 2014 - Hyde

CCG106 is a universal stick-on carbon guard used for most the ktm twostrokes. You'll notice its more rounded and not bevelled like the ktm and husky clutch covers. (That Price there is about equal to $100 US.) They also make bolt-ons, but obviously the fitment will be a problem again.

Hope this helps

Seems to be a bit of confusion with the pictures. The Husa TE300 and the Husky TE300 cases are the same in 14. I don't know what year the Husky picture is (thinking 15?) is different. You can order the 14 Husky and it will fit. The KTM ones will fit as well. Any aftermarket manufacture can supply. Hinson, Slavens, Boy etc.

See Pics... Same Engine just different branding all are KTM and same parts

FE350 you are right there, the Husky motor in the picture is a newer motor, it is in fact the 2017 engine, notice the Mikuni carburettor and the electric start on the bottom of the engine cases. You are also right in saying that the cases for Husky/Berg are the same for 2014, as they are, but the Husaberg got that rounded type clutch cover, while the KTM and Husky got the bevelled clutch cover. That seems to be about the only difference between them. KTM 250/300 from about 2006ish to 2016, Husaberg 250/300 2011 to 2014 and Husqvarna 250/300 2014 to 2016 all have pretty much the same engine.

Woops sorry for the confusion on the pics. Regardless, the differences in covers are depicted well. I have seen the Hyde solution and I think the Trailjammer one as well. I really am not a fan of metal or carbon fiber protectors, plastic seems the way to go. Looks like swapping the clutch cover might be the best way out here...might think about it if I can grab a ktm cover cheap enough otherwise will just stay bare.

I have a Slavens blue anodized as in the middle picture. I do have a tad wear on the cover but not much as the little metal lower protector seems to keep my boots away???? It was also installed as I put the bike down a week into owning it and the brake lever went through the cover. This little baby saves my new expensive cover and keeps the boots away. It was less than $40 and well worth every cent.
