I recently sold my 2007 Husqvarna TE450 and am considering purchasing a 2013 Husaberg FE350. The bike is about 10 lbs less which will be nice in the woods. However, I do worry about top end power. I was able to go 90 in 6th easy and could top out at 100+. That being said, I did not need all that power. However, I would like to be able to cruise on the highway if need be to get to trails and Forest Service roads. If anyone with the FE350 can shed some light, it would be much appreciated. Thanks

I goes good, I would say this bike would smoke my 2010 Suzuki RMX450 without a doubt and of course handles way better. I am not familiar with your Husky, but have no question in my mind that you would be very pleased.

I know of 3 expert level riders that have swapped their KTM450's for 350's and all will never go back they say.
Not as much bottom end torque from the 350's but are just as fast at the top end. Less effort to ride. Less intimidating and all their lap times improved from their 450's.
And they did not think they were going as fast!

I went from a 2007 TC450 to a 2012 KTM 350 XCf, great in the tight and open trails. I didn't notice a lot of loss in the open stuff, but way easier to ride faster and longer in the tight....

Downsize to a 430

You should have downsized to this, and never have to worry about power again.;):p My 1981 XC430

350 xc four strokes are great, they bridge the gap betwwen 250f and 450f.Really light feeling and when you get them up in the rpms they scream.

I currently ride a -14 ktm 450 exc. I have tried my buddies 350 and its all that but much nicer at low end, it doesnt have that initial bite down low and just about picks up at corner entry.
Not a fan of the twin cam thing, a single cam 350 Id buy any day :)

Edit: You may want to check the weight figures twice, the 07 was very light, dont rely on factory numbers.
