The same except it's better on roots and wet logs. The studs dig in and you can drive over slippery logs at 45 degrees. But they leave marks and ruin more of the trees roots so they should only be used when it's too icy, and they are expensive and driving a normal trail in the forest ruin them quite quickly.

I have two sets. One for winter trails (everything from normal muddy enduro to ice and snow), and one for ice (so the studs are long and sharp.

The reason I asked went riding at this place I always go to it has fast sections anyway went off a jump into a mud hole I didn't see till it was to late. My protective gear work Great. Next time I'll go slow before I go crazy.

1992 FE350 3 years in the making

Fitted a conrod from a 510 husky pre 1998 the rod is 2mm longer and the smallend needs to be resized and narrowed to 16 mm in width, I had to put in a 2mm base gasket and deck the piston by 1mm to correct the clearance issues and cam chain length.

So here we are, 5 years, 310 hrs and 8500 miles on from post No. 7 in this thread and the 570 still running as strong as ever. Except for a new fuel pump at 6 months old and a new cam chain tensioner around the same time, nothing more than routine maintenance.....

Very pleased with the light bar and the spots. The light bar is 18w and lights up the ground just in front of the bike out to around 10m and the spots are 15w and are aimed to around 35-40m. I upgraded the 35w OEM candle to HID some time ago but light scatter on main beam isn't good. The LED combination is great.

Slowly a friends 600 -00 is coming together. I picked up the overhauled and almost complete engine today (missing flywheel and ignition system).
