I wonder who was the A hole who would put a Suzuki sticker on a Berg? Obviously must be nuts.

Webmonstro better eye then Me. Now to answer the big question. Yes but first see how much money and time you have. Other things to look at is do you want a near prefect bike or just a beater or something in between?

has to be very good .....
the ktm is the last bike I finished
.... idea is for farleigh and hawstone next year

you do the bike, give me and i'll do the engine!

or sell me that pile of junk worth nothing at all (please!!!!!!!!!)
loads of work, never get done if you don't, you don't have the time after all, and the missus will nag, nag, nag all the time, christmas is coming and you'll need the money, everything you touch needs work, it's never ending, they never run right, last time it ran it had a missfire, its just a money pit.........

I sponsor Rob Foden's sidecar-crosser but he wants me to prep his FC501 for Vintage MX next year. I look forward to seeing you there with it all ready to rock 'n roll!

regards

Taffy

listen I just rebuilt the top end and fix a whole bunch of other ****(since the previous owners were clowns) on a 96 fc 600, and it's a balls out, air induction beast.
I've never heard intake howl like that in my life, and I own a 2nd generation cummins. truly special bikes worth your time and effort.

Crow, what is your name/nik?

I don't know Laurence myself sorry! but that KTM looks sweet!

what year is your Husaberg?

can we see some more photos of it with the Suzuki kit on it? wh

what do we as a group know about this Suzuki stuff because I had a customer here with an old Husey earlier in the year and he had a Suzuki/Husky front mudguard (it said so underneath) and it was a straight fit. on the rear, he fitted a Suzuki rear seat pan/mudguard but chopped his rear subframe to do it (I cried). it looked great but I mean, chopping up your bike to do it? come on!!!!

I'm intrigued as to how much stuff is swoppable on the early Huseys? what is the story folks?

as for what is available Crow, well we can get over everything after 1996 but before then it is a little tricker. there are no rod kits for them but you can get a pin and bearing and little end.

that is about it at the moment.

thanks for all the replys guys .... bike used to belong to a fella I new ... he cleaned air filter in petrol .... no oil ... bike backfired and they nearly lost their house ...... that's why the dopey Suzuki tank is on.

I stripped bike tonight and was amazed that nothing was seized and everything slipped out very easilly.... gonna strip engine next week before I commit to powder coating etc.

so if taffy or anybody can set me up with a complete set of plastics inc tank I would appreciate very much... I am intending to use this machine and it not being a trailer queen ..... I want the fc tank ? the smaller one that dosent cover the engine

many thanks
Scott

I believe the bike is 95 .... will check frame number in case it is simple to decode

for some reason, the yanks have made a real industry on ebay USA out of breaking all these mid nineties Huseys. although an ebay search should look everywhere it might pay to go onto the USA ebay and save it as a regular search there.

I'm weak on keeping old bits, I refuse to break a Husaberg. so please show us more at sometime about the fit, cut and shape of the suzuki tank and seat from before you stripped it. I.E last week so to speak....got anything?

taffy

Sorry guys .... She ain't gonna b built, water in bottom end ... Needs valves rod piston etc etc ...... Thanks for all the info and help
Scott

you probably haven't read about it here but I have just taken in a fortnight ago a load of rods for the 501 and the 600 Husabergs but NOT for the 350 or 400 but they are likely when my funds recover.

regards

Taffy
