2012 Husky TE310?

I'm toying with the idea of selling my 2011 FE390 and getting a TE310.

How do these two bikes compare for use as a mountain trail bike and for technical desert terrain?

The Italian Huskys have a super close gear box. (Except the 610/630)

One 525 in my stable

I had '08 SXF 450. Had Bondi engine in it. Power was fenomenal. I called it bronko. It was happy to be pushed. It would also puk puk around all day with out complain, always ready to jump with just a small throttle crack. It looked nice but was the most explosive power of all the bikes in our group. My cousins are riding from really young age but they were intimidated by this katum. I couldn't take full advantage of that power, but I enjoyed it immensely whatever I could. Now I think my '07 Fs 550 is similar but it can go on the road. Recently bought '07 Exc 525 it has lots of power but it is different, this is rolling thunder that can power through anything. SXF was a dragon.

Hello
I have te 610 from -06
And its in bits right now...I would really like to swap it to 570 berg, but those are too expensive and hard to find atm...
Husky has big tank, comfortable seat, heated grips, lynx headlight etc touring parts...:)
Engine needs all bearings, con rod,oil pump, piston, clutch spring washers(i believe THE reason to this failure) I hope thats it.... Changing to hydraulic clutch at same time, when motor is in bits...
Ironically motor had screen in oil pickup, but it is too coarse to really protect oil pump. And some owners pickup screen has broken when running, and broke the oil pump, and then the engine.
Totally different bike than my 02 husaberg fe 501. But berg wont be comfortable to travel...Or i wont feel comfortable to servicing and repairing it that often if used to travel...
i guess 70degree bergs could change that...

My 2016 Ktm 500 next to the 06 Husaberg 650

who owns Husaberg?

well it belongs
51% to Stefan Pierer
49% to an Indian Motorcycle manufacturer

Stefan bought the name Husqvarna for peanuts and owns it solely. he then used his 51% voting rights to make Huseys into huskys which denied the Indians any say in the value of Husqvarna.

so the more that KTM do to Husky, the greater the value in Pierer's pocket!

In the meantime, Husaberg is owned truly, by KTM and in a ratio as seen above. I can see Husaberg coming back but under Indian ownership. Pierer isn't daft! there's a dollar to be turned in there somewhere.

Surely the question here is now: what will Pierer do with the Husaberg name?

we could petition them....if we got say, 1,000 signatures and requested that the name be given to a new innovative range of...........

you tell me?
