Bought cam chain for Mercedes a-class for 25€. Found in iwis catalogue that is same type 06b but little thicker and with lubrication holes. It should be stronger chain compared to commonly used g67wz. It is g67hp6 and many Mercedes, BMW cars and even Lamborghini is using it! Here is old iwis chain compared to new one. After rebuild will try that chain.

No luck with this chain :( front chain slider is to tight. 1.5 mm tight. I'm thinking of sanding inside of slider to make it wider. Any thoughts about this?

well that would impinge on the ADC system as well. so it is a "no-no".

0.75mm closer prolly wont make contact with the decomp weight

if it is a bit close just grind the weight slightly

making the front slider wider should be ok, its only 0.75mm off each side but i dont have one here to check

Looks like it would be ok to open that slider up a bit

1mm off the thick web and 0.5 off the other maybe be best

Tested chain on camshaft sprocket and ADC weight touches chain. Could cut it down but I think that will give up this chain and buy new one.
