Just put the first 1.5 hours and 100km on my rebuild.
I rode around the block taking it easy after rebuild, dropped the oil, couple little bits of metal, some gasket material.
Did about 100km yesterday, not beating on it too hard, kept the RPMs fairly low. Dropped the oil again, I have 1 shard of metal on the magnet, and a few little bits and some more bits on the oil screen with a bit more gasket material.
How much is normal after a rebuild?
Refurb liner, Wossner piston, new mains, new gearbox bearings, new intermediate shaft bearing, Orangeberg WP kit, new DID cam chain, KTM ATV valve springs.
Engine sounds nice and quiet (Came from a Husky TE610, which is really noisy)
I'm kind of paranoid about the big end, since they no longer make a rod for it, but I didn't want to split the crank in case someone already has, and the pin is too loose after.
The bike has 4200 km, and 78 hours on it now, I bought it at 4100 km, knowing the engine needed to come apart. Two owners again it received an NTN race on the right side, with an SKF roller, so somebody has been in there doing questionable work.
