hey guys just rustled my self up a bike that ive always wanted! but now i see the problem with it beeing so old, bike runs stong, but it seeps oil so getting a complete gasket kit but, i was also wondering where are some good places to find parts? or is ebay just it? ive never had to look hard for the drz, but power to weight ratio the husa is awesome! thanks for any and all help! i will be scanning through and posting as i rebuild the bike
cheers!

most of the oil seepage from a berg is from either the cam cover (sealant only), valve covers (small oval gasket), water pump weep hole (internal seal / o ring) or the breather tube (weather cracking). at this stage of the game, i'd be surprised if you could ever get it seepage free.
if it bothers you, just wash it a lot.

The clutch covers don't have enough bolts, I found that some 3 Bond grey, or white, sealant sorted that with the gasket.

Not unknown to have a cracked crankcase from an overtightened swingarm pivot bolt that will weep until welded up.

The front LHS of the rocker cover seems to be the worst bit there, a 'bandaid' of 3 Bond Grey over it fixed mine.

My 98 FE501 is oil tight. I suspect that it wasn't really part of the design/maunfacture brief for a 'race' bike back then.

Fun things!

:D

get the engine jet washed and then go for a short ride. then it will become clear where the leak is from.
