Hi All,

I'm Jared 33 I live in Lancaster, CA SoCal I've been riding dirt bikes quads snowmobils since I was 7 and street bikes since I was 23 but haven't ride for about 5 years. Ive never been a very good on dirt bikes but I have fun.

Just bought my first Husaberg it's a 2010 FE 570 I've only put about 5 hrs on it so fare tons of power/fun. It's probably to much for me don't think be wanting for more power anytime soon.

I plan on getting a set of SM tires and wheels to play in the canyons.

It has about 100 hrs and 2200 miles on it.

Got any advice for a Newbie?

Look at FS570 for wheel size and width (17's) and brake disc size. It can get expensive so do your home work.

welcome!!!

adjusting the suspension does a lot on these ... I liked stiffer, roughly in the direction of Sport vs Standard as described in the manual ... and setting the sag is very interesting and good too. both of these are free to do, mold the bike to you, and were a bit of a revelation for me how dirt bike suspension and handling are tied together ... that travel is quite long after all and such a big part of everything.

(it's perhaps too early for that but having roughly the right springs for your weight yields a lot of benefits of course - and at some point it might be interesting to consider that these bikes are said to like a suspension revalve to tighten up highspeed damping and stabilize things a. little - but I'd definitely get used to the bike and think about that option later.)
