2002 FE400 cam chain tensioner location

I was hoping someone would be able to help me out with the measurement for where the tensioner sit in the head. Following the explosion of the top end I've finally got it welded up but lost the location of the bolt for the tensioner for a 2002 fe400 head. If someone could help me out with this it would help a lot keen to get it back on the trails

if you get a newer cam chain tensioner blade the location needs to be moved from the old location

if thats what you want to do (upgrade to newer part) i can get you the measurements required for the newer tensioner ?

I bought taffmeisters modified tensioner blade think that goes in the standard location? Any help would be appreciated

if you measure 11.5mm down from the head to rocker cover it is 11.5mm and if you measure across from the camshaft housing abutment which is micely vertical for you: it is 25.0mm dead.

all casting differences aside, this should do you and yes, with the modified tensioner blade it'll put up with a millimetre in every direction I reckon!

Thanks taffy got the 11.5 are you measuring the 25 from the bump from the cam on the outside (abutment) ie the attached pic
