Just a note to always remember to inspect your fine tuned machine prior riding.

I always go over my bike prior my ride.

I check all controls, tire pressure fluids etc. I was off riding for a month and left my bike at camp with the family. I left for a week and came back. We planned a ride after lunch the following day. For some reason unknown I did not check my bike as I always do, It could have been the excitement to get back out riding ??? I geared up and proceeded up the road and decided to lift my front wheel as I always do. Upon setting my wheel down to make my turn my throttle stuck wide open as the bush guard had pressed against my throttle from last fall. I pulled my clutch and hit the brakes to find I did not have a clutch as the new lever was out of adjustment. The tires slid on the dust and I was at about 80kmh when I hit the seven foot boulder head on as by this time I had no more options it was to late to do anything but plan the crash.

I hit the rock and was thrown about fifteen feet into the air and came down on another rock the same size and then bounced back into the air and did my landing. Thankful to all my great gear I only turned my Hamstring into hamburger. Thankfully the injured area is close to my *** and will not affect future riding and or movement only will not be able to model underwear lol.

Freak thing but if I checked my bike prior I would have had many more days riding instead of drinking.

This is one hour after impact, My whole leg down to my ankle is bruised and I am carrying a sack the size of a softball that will need to be drained next week,

Good advice a little late for You. If riding wasn't so much fun. We all must be glutton for punishment

Somedays I think I am getting to old for this and then get on the bike and ride, by this time I am young again and it all starts over again lol. Yes it was a little late but I guarantee next time the bike will be fully checked lol

I'm 61 and one of the guys I ride with is 77 And it's off-road riding. He's fast

Good advice!
I hope your bike didn't get hurt too bad.
Get well soon and stay young!

The bruise looks like a panda with a bloody lip.

Good job walking away from that one without any fractures.

Wow. Great advice. Will make sure i do this each time. Did the kill switch not enter your mind or was it too late?

No Time for kill switch and or rear brake stall. clutch front brake and was on top of the rock. Didn't even have time to lift to possibly clear. 80k and about thirty feet. Funny how important a clutch is when stopping at high speed. Just got the hematoma drained today and been almost three weeks and 450ml was extracted. Pretty sore still but no broken bones.
