I am going to make myself some leg stabilizers to try to combat my arm pump issues. I find myself needing to sit often due to tired arms and hands. I have bar risers but they aren't doing the trick either.
There are some commercially available options such as:
STEGZ Moto Technologies - STEG PEGZ Official Site
Leg Pegs
I am going to make my own, with my own design, to try to save money and save weight.
Below is the right side. My finger tip indicates the approximate location of the puck.
Below is the left side. Same story.
Below is my first design, similar to Stegggggz.
Below is my second, unique design.
I plan to use hose clamps to attach a flat piece of aluminum to the two subframe tubes. I estimate that the aluminum will be about 1" wide by 8" long, maybe 3-4 mm thickness.
If anyone has any photos or info of the actual product on the bike up to 2008, please post it here. It was very difficult finding old images to work with. All related threads on this website have expired photo links.
Thanks.
