On my Husky I did use a Spal fan, my was mounted to the front of my radiator because of the radiator guards I used, Spal does make the nicest fans, but price reflects that. :D

Not sure why you would hook it up "thematically" , relating to a theme? :p

We don't roll our 'R's downunder. So the 'R' in thermatically would be silent. Phonetically speaking that is.:D

Interesting though is the fact that thermatically does not exist in the dictionary but if you do a google search, it is in widespread use throughout the English language. You would think the dictionary's would lift their game and catch up.

I used zip ties with plastic washers on the back side.

my brother uses brushless RC ducted fan motors on his hayabusa

robust and high cfm with low current draw

speed control is needed to run the motor and wiring it up requires an understanding of more than just connecting 2 wires

OK, Think I have the connector figured out for you ???

Bloody Hell, KTM Aus want $10.60 per connector... Any cheaper option or way?

I will look through my electrical parts bin and see if I have a used one. If I do then I will get you to pm me your address and I will throw a stamp on and mail it to you :) This will be Monday as I am not back in the shop till then. Will let you know what I find.

Had to go into shop today, Found a connector it is a four pin BV had no two pin ones. I am sure it will plug in but you would have two empty ports. If you want it I will throw it in a envelope and mail Monday afternoon?

OK, It is in envelope addressed to you. Gonna hit mailbox tomorrow so you should see in a bit. Just sending it International stamp and no worries about Paypal :) Just pay it forward one day. I also placed six pin connectors with it so you have a few chances if you don't get it right the first time. I hope they are the right size?? I have also made a simple schematic for you as you requested. Any questions pm me. :)

Excellent! Your awesome mate! Thanks so much :)

Well the connector arrived today, thanks again for that :D

Basically I have a on off rocker switch, with a red and a green wire. Exactly this one:
Universal Motorcycle Kill ON OFF Switch Button Handlebar Mount Bullet Connector | eBay

Then, I have my fan, which has a black and red wire coming out of it...

Then, I have a power source on my bike with 2 pins on it, Which seems to power the fan fine.

I'm having difficulty picturing how to wire this up, as all the toggle switches I see online have 3 pins on them, but mine has 2 wires.

Could someone please explain how I go about this? :p
I'll go have a play in the shed

Thanks
Matt

Update: Got all the wiring sorted and its all connected up, Massive massive thanks to FE350 for the connector, and everyone who helped with information :)

Someday i'll be able to repay the favour

LOL, guess what I found. Two thermostats with connectors on them, The exact ones you needed. Anyways I am glad this helped you out.

Just fitted a Trail Tech digital fan unit to my FE570, works a treat and is super easy to fit! Seems like several of the 4 stroke machines use the same radiators.

I hard wired mine direct to the batter - cable is literally just long enough to do the job and is fused. CAN$200 for the kit.

Has a small digital screen to allow you to adjust the temp at which the fan kicks in as well as change from centigrade to fahrenheit etc.

I'd like to get one too. Trail Tech doesn't list the FE570 on their site:

Trail Tech || KTM Digital Fan Kit

Did you get the 732-FN8 (for 08-15 EXC and Husaberg 501)? Does it clear the shroud on the 570, or did you have to trim the shroud or relocate the display? Did the connectors fit? If you hooked it straight to the battery does it not keep the LCD on and drain the battery while sitting?

Hey guys, I have a few questions.

I went for a ride with my brother on the other day and we ended up on a lot of traffic.

Long story short: my berg heated up a bit and spilled some anti-freezing fluid.

Do these 08 bergs have some sort of connectors ready to plug some kind of a "universal bike fan"?
I looked into these Trailtech fan kits but I can only order them off of eBay from the US with absurd postage costs.

What I'm looking for is some kind of fan that kicks in automatically whenever it needs to.
