hi, looking for some mag wheels for my 2004 fe 450, can anyone shed some light on mag wheels from other bikes that would fit and what alterations are needed, i know people use aprilia wheels but not sure whats best, any help much appreciated, cheers:cool:
 
there nice! how much are you thinking? what aprilia are they off? and where are you based

I believe they are from a aprilla pagasso strada 650 and have been machined to fit ktm/ husabergs.

I live between huddersfield and leeds and the only reason i am selling them is because i am emigrating at the end of the year and the bike has to go also.

I would sell the wheels without tires for 450 or 550 with tires the tires have about 50 miles on them. also the front rotor and caliper wouldn't be included. the rear rotor cush hub etc is included it's just i had the rotor sized to fit that caliper so i plan to keep it for my future set of wheels when i rebuy the bike in another country.

that bike looks beaut, iv stripped mine down at the minute for rebuilding and powdercoating but when you come to sell the bike id definately consider buying it, what does it do top end? my fe 450 topped out at 122.7
 
There's no rush on my end as i have until the end of the year to sell up so just drop me a message.

I haven't had the bike at full speed as the last time i took it out the weather was crap and i was riding in a group with new riders so it was a slow and steady ride. I'm still waiting on some nice weekend weather to go out again.

I'm not sure what the top speed on these bikes is. I'm hoping to get it on a dyno at some point and see how its running plus I'm still messing with the gearing and need to get the ecu unlocked.

so your saying cbr250rr wheels will fit with different spacers and discs?
 
nothing impossible ... some basic checks at ur local wrekers some measurements if u cant find what ur looking for , just another option for u

story was I was going buy this berg, owner told me wheels out of CBR 250xx , only made spacers, & plate (fr memories Im not 100% sure) disc attach to? like I mention its was 2 yrs ago.
The Caliper spacer, caliper, disc ,senser, straight from FS motard

Or May look in to KTM Duke , has mag wheels later models (if find a crash one)?

Was going to do it to mind but Ive put it off till later date,
If u have some basic handy man wif tools
 
Ok thanks for the info, il see what comes up, bikes being fully rebuilt at the mo ready for the summer and want some nice wheels for it
