Hi Guys,

Been a while.... hope all the Berg brothers are doing well !

Wondering if anyone can tell me who the Australian Berg importer is... i know they are in Western Australia.

Embarrasingly, I have just had my forks fully serviced after so many years (leading up to 2014 SA Reliability Trials series) and the mechanic has found that one fork, the LH leg, is missing the rebound dampening setup... these forks are as supplied - never opened up before...

What do you reckon the chances are that they would supply the parts / cover the cost ?

As I say, its been a while - Ill put some pics up and frequent the site a bit more in the future, see if any of the old buddies are still lurking...

I've just had the stator re-wound to 160w and night trials twinlights fitted, now running 130/100 main halogen and a 4300k HID, by GS Moto (South Australia)... awesome lights !!

I'm not here!

you've got two hopes and one of them has died so I guess its 'no' hope! LOL!!!

Taffy

Yeah I think the fella that deals with the Husaberg Australia warranty stuff is Craig Brown from WA. I have had a couple dealings with them and they have been really good to me but my bike was brought new. I dont like your chances with parts for an older bike! Im fairly sure they prefer that you go through a dealer with any issues first. Have you talked to the people you got the forks from? Bills Motorcycles at Richmond are now Husaberg dealers and they seem good and reputable. My opinion is to steer clear of the ***** north of Adelaide, not even sure if he is still a dealer ( no need to mention names).

Hey Mr. Taffy ! how are you 'ol mun? lol... hows things Berg in 'Ol Blighty ?

Thanks Akshun, I didn't know Bills went Berg... surprising... I wonder if it will all be up in the air withthe onset of Husquabergs?

even though its old, it was bought new, and I can guarantee you I was surprised when Slats wrote up that it was missing parts as the forks have never been opened up... slack on my part... it never did turn as good as the other 2 I have had...

I think I'll let it through to the keeper (that was for you Taff on the lead up to the Aussie cricket season).. and just do it myself when the parts get here...

Cheers !

G'day Azza :bounce3:

Still planning the cross Aus trip?

Gidday Steve, how is life treating you ?

Cross the heart went on the backburner a bit, byt if i could get to Sydney in christmas eve, id do it this year...

I coldnt have imagined the ligistical difficulties of transporting a bike over there (without trailering it over myself)...

Hey Glen,

The forks have never been opened up, its how they came straight out of the box!

I had Slatts at GS Moto do the forks as well, he says he has seen it plenty of times before when someone services them and goes to drain the oil, the rebound spring and stuff falls out into the drain tin..

Still riding Berg then mate? must have been 4 years ago at least when i dropped that chainguard for you... time flies...

Here's my Berg (Karolina) with her new shiny bits ready for the 2014 SART series.

160w stator, 130/100 halogen ADR headlight and 6300 HID xenon auxilary, a few bits and pieces to go, mousses and new Pirelli's before the first event.
