how to remove bearing

ive got bearing pullers internal/external ive tried heat,ive even put a washer in between the bearing and casing to get a edge to hit it with a flat head screwdriver and heat just to get the pullers in but no dice anybody have any ideas???garage isn't a option,,im not paying somebody good money if I can do it myself yeah sorry its the crank bearing,,,i cant get a socket in at the other end its flush with the id of the bearing

have you looked in the repair manual, how thay do it and how the OEM tool looks like ?

might give you a hint..

i eff'd with mine for a good long while then paid a machine shop 20 bucks for a half hour job..........think of it like this, you break the case and you just spent a lot more then 20 or even 50 or even 100$

looked at the 99 repair manual lol wouldnt know how to make it as I don't know how the hell its works,,,,cheers bergini ill weld in a stainless steel nut get some threaded bar **** loadsa heat and pop the **** out!! but saying that if I can get rid of the id bush and bearings I could get the pullers on her a rip the **** out!! I like the welded idea no fuking about,,,,ta
 
If you heat the bearing, it will grow and become tighter. I wouldn't be too keen on putting much heat into the casing, they are cast alloy and reletively soft so be careful with the torch! There are many ways to press out bearings and most of them use force. If you can separate the inner from the outer ring and it is still stuck, you can run a small weld along the inside of that outer ring. This will pull the ring in towards the weld and loosen it from the casing. Good luck.
 
But the engine case to oven and heat it about 150 celsius (300 fahrenheit). The light alloy case will expand more than bearing. Then you just need to but case some flat surface, like wood and knock on the case with "plastic hammer" (I don't know what that is in english...). :D

i dont think thats works on these for removal............some bikes yes but not these, putting the bearings in the freezer and the cases in the oven will help for assembly though, i think i jjust ut the bearings in the freezer and nothing else and they went it fine......removal is another story........
 
really you need to press it out , you need something that has a inner diameter slightly bigger than the outer diameter of the bearing to support the casing from the inside then just press it out , my 6 ton press makes easy work of these bearings and its only a baby press.

thats from are from a completely different era of engine.......i think i used a press to get my crank bearings out too but i dont remember having problems with them, it was either a press or i drove it out i with a socket i dont remember, i only had issues with the blind trans shaft bearings....
 
Well, it work my friends Husky CR 250 (1999). Easy and cheap method to try if workshop is not an option and you doen't have hydraulic press on own garage. :)
