Hi

I'm one of those that still ride old BERGS, so for me the SEM stator still is a problem :D

I've been running rewinds for some years, they are better the new but even then they don't last forever :(

Lately I've been having some problems with cracks on the stators with very few hours, after it happen twice to my stator I dicided that the stator was out for good, it was so bad that the cracks went even to the charging coils side, found another one and rewind it, that one was left on the shelf.

After some time I read this post from Kli:
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=16512

It was very good news, not even we had another source of rewinds, but it also had a flexible coating. So I thought, this might be a solution for my bad stator, contacted KRIS and gave him the challenge, that he accepted.

So now I recived it, the stator comes with one gasket, its still untested but here are some pict of it:

Now I have to try it

One competition it allready won, it sure is the ugliest one I ever saw

Lest see if it works, I will keep you posted

yes Kris need to take some time with design so that all looks nicer, but important ting is that is working :)

Hi

I have now ride with this startor 2 times without any problems, it starts well and runs like it should, so far everything is good, now only time will tell...

Other thing, the gasket also works very well, even after I wash the bike its still dry, so good idea Kris

Hope this is my last report for a long time about it

hi zaga

i am glad you are happy with your rewind, its always good to hear a happy customer.
and like the old saying goes - dont judge a book by the cover lol , i know they are not the nicest to look at but when your stator cover is properly sealed and you dont suffer with a wet stator ( or cracks ) you rarely have to see it  .
i really want to start remolding the stators after repair but i have not yet found a product that i think is suitable. i am looking for something that air dries that has a max temp of about 120 degrees, everything i can find is under 100 degrees, so if anybody has any ideas my ears are open.

i do hope this is the end of your stator troubles

cheers kris
