Has anyone mounted the X2 HID on the 2011 street legal FE 570S? A lot more wires to contend with and appears more difficult to attach to the fork tubes with the upper light clearance issue. If anyone's done it successfully,
I'd like to know what you did. Thanks.

@Barshoe - if you go this route please report in how you like it and how you end up with the mounting. I've been looking at lights but so far just looking. Seems like a killer setup. Also wonder if it's street legal anymore after going this route? Can't wait for Dale to get my suspension back to me so I can ride again...here I am on a Saturday at the computer...maybe this is how I can justify having two!

I never ride on the street at night, only the trail.
I'm still waiting to see if it's do-able. Tried fitting
mine but its so tight with the extra wires it has.
The hid is assume if only I can mount it.

Do you know the part number of the X2 light that you received? Is it the model specific one for the Berg? Is there anyway you could post some pictures of the fitment problems that you are running into?

It's the X2 H.I.D. When I ordered it from TT, the menu did not include the 2011 FE 570 S (Street Legal) Husaberg Enduro, only the FE 570 Off-road Enduro. The 2011 570 S model has more wiring connections behind the steering stem, so there is a space issue. I don't ride the bike on the street at night, only off-road, back country returning from
a long day. The stock light is absolutely worthless, dangerous even, off-road. I was looking at the 8 inch H.I.D.
race light as an alternative to the X2 if I can't get a proper fit. The race light has more than adequate space to
mount but its more $$$ and its not plug and play. Some wiring skill required!
I'll try to take some pics tomorrow possibly.
Thanks for your help,
Kim A.

If you could send me some pictures of the space issue I can see what we can get figured out for you and if we have run into the issue ourselves. As for the 8" HID it come with a bike side harness that will hook up directly to the battery and then run forward to the front of the bike. You will then just plug the 8" HID light into the power harness and you are off and running. There is very basic wiring installed. Pretty much just attaching the power harness to the battery.

If you remove the little metal bracket that holds the wire connectors the light will fit fine.

Nope, it still hits the speedo bracket.

Thanks for the pictures. Do you have any pictures of the light still not fitting with the bracket modified like it said to do in the instructions as we have not had an issue with the install yet as long as the bracket was modified. With this done it should allow the light to sit back all the way and be able to strap to the fork tubes. Did it come with the model specific instructions?

Another option is an HID replacement from KTMparts.com for the KTM EXC. I installed it on my 570 easily as its plug and play and costed me $129 if I remember right. Just an option.

I ordered one on Wed last week and I am actually running into the same thing. I did modify the wiring harness bracket like the instructions said. Mine was for the '10 570 FE That isn't the problem but I am having the light hit the Odometer bracket and I can't quite get it to tuck underneath. Is everyone just removing the black fender bracket permanently? That is how mine is situated right now but I am excited to get it out and try it out. would love to hear some other replies.

I do have a question on the extra wires that are in the original harness and if I need to remove them and place them in the new harness. I don't know what they go to and I am starting to do the research to figure it out but I have only been trying for about 30-45 min to find the answers. Thank you for your responses

Same problem I'm having..................................................

Well, I finally got it to fit, but it wasn't easy. It still hits the speedo bracket and I had to dramatically
change the wiring loom connection. The connection bracket has to be discarded all together and all
the plastic connections wrapped in an inner tube shield or your screwed. The double light design
obviously wasn't meant for the 2011 Street Legal FE 570, only the dirt only FE 570 of previous years.
The new one has way more wiring! But I got it to work and that's all that counts. I'll post some pics
soon for those that choose to do the same.
