My 2005 FE550e is leaking oil out of a screw hole in the left side cover. It seems to be next to an oil passage on the cover and I was wondering if it needs a crush washer maybe or if it is a bigger problem. the gasket or cover are not leaking they are properly seated, it leaks around the head of the bolt. i looked in my manual and it the parts manual but i cant see if i'm missing a crush washer perhaps or something like that

Anerobic sealer. Loctite and Permatex make some good one's.
Clean out the hole with brake cleaner and compressed air. Clean off the bolt. Apply a drop of sealer to the threads and a drop to the flange on the bolt. Torgue it down and that should do it....hopefully.
I'm assuming you have a pourous casing issue. i think there may be a galley plug in the clutch cover directly above that bolt that you might want to inspect as well.

Thanks for the reply, i will be taking off the cover this weekend to replace a water seal, so i will take your advice and seal it up. If anyone has other suggestions or know why this is happening, reply's would be appeciated
