Hi all,

I stripped down cylinder head, inlet valves are completely destroyed, and also one valve seat from inlets.

Since OEM 37mm inlet valves cost fortune, 100E each, I was thinking to go on Husaberg 04/KTM 35mm, did someone try this modification?
What could be drop in power?
Do you know what is the length of new 35mm husa/KTM valves?

What is your experience, do you also change exhausts when you change inlets?
Do you also change guides at the same time?

Mine exhausts are god, they need only polishing, and on guides I can fell small gap.

Thanks in advance

the new valves are 97mm long

I have an 02 lineaweaver racing head he set up with 97mm long valves IE it can be done to work perfectly well :D

there are many alternatives for valves, wildly different pricing depending on how much work needs to be done on them, if you want a perfect drop in 37 at the right length talk to glen woodman Glenn Woodman GWR Race Engines - Alice Racing or travis at thumperacing ThumperRacing both really nice professional people who as far as the internet is concerned have never ripped anyone off.

cheapest are kibblewite 36s at 97.1mm long, they also have the seats and guides you may need

ARE YOU CALLING ME A RIP OFF MERCHANT?

i do 37s and they are flow tested and designed by myself. don't try and fit 35s in the head, it will be a bloody mess. there isn't enought seat and to make enough seat you'd have to sink the vales. as I say - a mess.

regards

Hi all,

If I go to 35mm I was looking to go with kit for KTM 525, it includes 4 valves, steams and DVSK for 200E.
ktm-parts.com: KTM Valve Rebuild Kit 400-525 SX/EXC 99-07

Taffy why do you think that there will be a mess, I wass thinking to make new seats for inlets.
Because of thicker valve seat to inner side, or because of smaller flow?

Bushie did you try kiblewhites in old bronze guides or with new stainless steel?
So 96-96005 would be good for inlets, and 96-96008 for outlets?

yes those are the closest, not ideal but very economical

I am running kibbelwhites in the KTM sintered iron guides, wear is good as they are DLC coated, honing the guides after install is not required, they are stellite tipped.

the taffmeisters valves I am running in the same iron guides guides have badly worn stems, no coating on the valves.

the kibblewhite bronze guides are probably the best match for the kw valves.

cheers
Bushie

no, ive not mentioned you at all

so I will suggest you are a paranoid fool

have a snickers and chill out FFS
phuq off!

we both know it is yet another attack from a qunt!:mad::mad:

I've been asked to relax before and I waited months. the guy is an arsehole. scum.

don't ask me to relax - it's been tried.

in the previous thread I told you what they cost. you mocked it, stop having a go directly or indirectly.

YOU'VE ACCUSED ME AGAIN OF RIPPING PEOPLE OFF!:mad::mad:

now withdraw it!

NOW

For pete's sake try to think of the original poster ..

I agree absolutely

Taffy I'm not having a go at you, the 2 suppliers I listed are relatively unknown on this site so I backed their integrity with my experience, while as a "supplier" in my post you don't even get a mention... nothing .. zip.

it seems you have an issue with your personal perception of something I posted a previous thread ..... you should address your concerns there, not here.

Hi all,

Hope the "war" is stopped...

In the meantime, I found OEM valves, so I will keep 37/30, 97mm lenght.
Put new old style bronze guides, steams and upgrade conicals with KTM ATV DVSK kit 83036028044.

Did someone try to fit this kit in older engines?
One thing I still don't understand is setting correct preload lenght, I have read in some older posts about lenght of 33mm or 30mm for DVSK from Linewear.
What is the lenght for KTM's and does it's needed to be adjusted or it's plug and play?

Bushie,
Why are you talking about 97mm in 02 head, does normally 2002 have different valves?
