Hello dear

I have noisy cam follower bearing on exhaust rocker arm, intake is fine.
Bike is fe 501 2003.

Just call dealer near me and he told be that they are not available any more.
Do you know any replacement or other solution?
Are rockers from 2004+ compatible ?

Thans in advance

For the 2004+ bikes, a cam follower bearing off of a 4t RFS KTM fits.
The real question is if pre 2004 and 2004 bikes have the same bearing.

easy to tell

the center shaft of the old ones is 7.8mm PN# 200 019 01

on the new ones it is 7.6 PN# 590 36 061 090

not sure when the x over happened but my 02 has old style rockers with the new bearings in them

forgot to add the exhaust rocker complete should be a direct swap dimensionally with the old one although I have not actually run it but it does fit.

on my 02 the only differences are in the oil galleries since the new style is splash feed only. but its only a few holes .. its easy to make holes :D

exhaust rocker complete (includes bearing already fitted) new style Pn# 59036061144 approx $140 US

the new rocker pivot shaft interchanges dimensionally as well Pn# 59036057000 $15

i have the bearings in stock.

look for 100107 on our web site. check that they are 7.8-7.9 measured and not 7.6-7.7 as theat means you have had the later rocker arms installed.

we also have rocker shafts available which Husaberg have also stopped making.

Taffy

i thought the '03 s had the smaller pins (newer style) . i know my '03 501 did.

i guess I wrote that badly. yes the earlier pins are 7.8mm and by the time you whack them out, the heat, the burrs they measure 7.9mm with a vernier.

so if you hAVE AN EARLIER ARM, FITTED YOU'LL MEASURE THE ABOVE. IF YOU HAD SOMEONE BEFORE YOU UPGRADE THE ROCKER ARM THEN IT WILL BE:
"7.6-7.7 as theat means you have had the later rocker arms installeD.

Taffy

Hi all,

thanks for your replies.

I just come back from workshop with a good news for me.
Looks like I have rockers like ned37, they are measured for 7.6mm.

I have old style rockers with bushing on axle, but with new type of bearings.

no you don't. you have a single pin with a pressed in 'design' just in from the perimeter.

you need to press the pin out ever so slightly. enough to get verniers on it and measure it up.

Taffy

Hi Taffy,

It really was 7,6mm bearing, I pressed them out and put new bearings and pins in.

my 2002 rocker arms (look like this)

also have 7.6mm CFB shafts

Hi bushie,

Yes that is like mine.
Can you feel some small play between axle and rocker on yours?
My axle's are a bit damaged on places where rocker bushings are.

yes slight play but in my case it is from the bronze bushings being worn

you can use the new rocker shafts if you drill appropriate holes for the oil and plug one end, diamond coated spherical burrs are the easiest way to drill hard metal at home. rocker shaft Pn# 59036057000

just turning yours upside down might be enough though.

Hi all,

Received the and fit the parts for rockers.
New 7,6mm bearing with pin and valve adjustment screws from newer Husaberg, bronze bushings from Taffy.
Shafts are OK, just a little polished.
