New to the world of Husaberg so bare with me! I wanted some advise regarding what people think is a sensible service interval for oil, oil filter and valves settings. Manual seems to say 15 hours but have been advised to change oil and filter every 10 hours and check valves every 30 hours.

I just do green laning and don't go mad! What would you suggest??

Many thanks

Oil every 5-7 hrs, filters @ 20 hrs, valves every 40-50 hrs, or more.

Steve

My personal recommendations.
Petrolium based oil every 5 hours.
Synthetic oil every 10-15 hours.
Oil filter every 4 th oil change.

Curious on why petroleum based then synthetic strategy? Can you explain the thinking please.

Thanks

Petroleum based does not give quite the protection or longevity of synthetic. It's also 20% or less of the cost.
If I had my way, being that the Bergs only hold 1 litre of oil and share that oil with the transmission, I would change any oil after 5 hours of hard use. Changing synthetic that often is cost prohibitive.
That's my take.

I have a question here, though about an FS650E.

I was also told service intervals at 10-15 hours, but I mean, that gives me 2 oil changes a week, even with only normal driving.. That cant be right? I can easily drive like 5 hours a day (Basicly just driving around downtown, having fun)
That is 3 oil changes a week, at $34 per litre of oil, $100 on oil each week.

Service interval at 10 hours must be if its used in races?

it's a race motor with a litre of oil, changing it often is cheap insurance against catastrophic failure. Whether you're racing it or bombing around your town, the intervals are pretty much the same. Why risk delaying a simple oil change? Take care of your bike, and your bike will take care of you.

He bought the wrong bike, that's for sure
Looking at a price tag of $4170 for major service, I sure did! (Checking price of service in Sweden now)
I paid like 8350$ for the bike, the cost of major service is half that. Major service is every 100hours from what local husaberg dealer tells me.

This means service twice a year . Which means I could buy a new husaberg every 4 years for the same amount, thats borderline hilarious :p

Ok, since I was without license for 3 month, I ended up driving a lot less than that this summer :p
