Trying to sort rear brakes issue fe 550

Lads,
2 things I'm looking at,

1. first, read on this site I'm sure about milling 30% of the brake pad away to reduce rear brake locking...I'm struggling with my 550 on semi loose / loose downhills with the rear being impossible to stop from locking up.

If I was to try the milling of the pads...is there a specific way to mill them...ie front, trailing edge, a strpi right down the guts...?

2. Has anyone seen, tried, formed an opionion on this TCB Valve....if so maybe it might assist...?http://mainmoto.com.au/tcbcat/cat/

And so the door for comment opens...

Cheers

Re: Trying to sort rear brakes issue fe 550

Hi, I had the same issues and have had a bit of a win by putting a smaller diameter brake cylinder from a ktm 200 cant remember what year about 2000 i think [got it off ebay] and using organic brake pads feels more progressive, next i'm going too put a solid disk when i wear the original one out and that should do the trick........colin PS ; cam chain is self adjusting little ratchet works its way in as cam chain stretches.

If the rear brake action is too direct try introducing some air to the line, we bleed air from our brake systems to make them more direct. Could be a cheap fix.
