AIR! Idea/experience to increase air flow to FS650?

Hi!
In the middle of putting my berg together, and as always when questions/challenges come to mind, i search the wisest for answers/ideas

Due to some hp increase in my 650 engine, I feel myself in the need of giving it some more air - or lots of it...

I have been thinking on external air filter , remove original hose from intake on the carburetor, add new hose with 90 degree angle(very approximate) to put air filter on left side sticking out under frame/seat.

Or - I saw perhaps a genius idea - make a hole in the seat to add air flow? Perhaps combine them somehow?
Found a picture while searching the www

Last thought - Air Scoop to force as much air as possible - anyone made anything or heard someone make a.scoop for Berg/motard..?

Comments, thoughts, experience ?

Thanks upfront

have a look at 100819. 100820. 100821. 100822.

on the 650, that mouth under the frame needs chopping off otherwise it cuts down into the filter. The below photo is of my 400 from about 18 years ago. the 650 head is about 35mm higher so..... there's no harm in a carb tilting down at the back by the way. if that is what it takes, that is what it takes.

Attached are 4 photos after mine of how it was done by a customer - dead proper like.

regards

Taffy
PS; why the red oxide paint? I tilted the bike forwards to get a steeper headstock angle. that made the seat height too high so I cut out a lot of the subframe and lowered the seat. It worked really well. heated the seat base and all fitted well.

I don't have a special 'seat photo' or a special seat.
