Yes I think a carb and tank clean is in order I remember cleaning some gunk out of the bottom of the carb when I got it because it was just pissing fuel out. Think I just need to do a good ol service and inspection like check valves, cam followers and clutch as I found teeny tiny brass looking particles in the screen when I changed oil first time. I've never even attempted to work on a bike before so I'm glad you lot are here to help. This is pretty much my only resource as there is almost no bike mechanics near me and none I imagine would've worked on a berg before anyway

Right so I got around to cleaning the air box. Think I got all the caca out, now my issue is with replacing his darn air filter. Have purchased two and neither are the same size as the one that is already in there. How do I upload photos as each time I try from my iPhone it says errors a I think the picture file size is too big. Need help identifying the brand and whether or not I can get another one as at the moment i cannot find anything at all similar. Could very well be the original factory filter and with a husaberg that was a made around 2005 could you post up a picture of the filter sitting in your bike so I can compare ? Would be appreciated as I'm having a right old problem sourcing one

Re. pictures - it can be a bit hard to post them on here. Especially on a phone. You can use another image hosting site like imgur.com or minus.com - give these a try! (Although it's a bit better to get them on here as then they live as long as the site .. )

If you go to twin air 's web site they have a downloadable pdf catalog with all the part numbers for all the filters they have , they certainly have one for your bike

I will try again with the photos if not I shall send them to you my friend to resize.strange thing about this is the store I purchased from On eBay uses Hiflo filters and the part number comes back with a stubby little filter infact he looked through his entire inventory for husaberg and ktm filters and there wasn't a single one of a similar size to which he is completely baffled and the store is a very very large stockist.

That small one seams like the small filter on the early models that take two filters like mine :
