E-Line Skid Plate

Anyone have this for their Berg? My buddy has one for his KTM 350 and it really looks beefy.

Only concern is that the Husaberg one, while offering plenty of protection, seems like it would reduce a lot of airflow. Does it matter? Would this affect cooling?

Look at the right side picture. Left side seems ok for airflow, but right side protects everything while seemingly offering little airflow.

Need to replace my Husaberg aluminum one that I bashed jumping Golden Crack in Moab.

I agree, I have that one on my FE450 but I drilled a few 1" holes in it where I figured it was safe so as to get more air flow without compromising protection.

I'd recommend the Enduro Engineering aluminum plate myself!

Re: E-Line Skid Plate

I had an eline header guard - after a few "drops" it was destroyed.

After that experience I personally would not buy this product for fear of wasting $150+

My opinion only........

Yeah, I had a pipe guard too (for my old Honda) and it wasn't necessarily top notch. Only reason I'm considering it is the skid plate my buddy had was substantially thicker...

Re: E-Line Skid Plate

I have tried the E-Line and P3 on my FE570 and yz250. I like the idea of carbon fiber for light weight and noise dampening.
the new E-Line has better coverage of the coolant hoses than the first one I had for the 570, I am now using a P3 on the 570 it has good coverage of hoses and has held up a little better than the E-Line, we run through alot of tough sage brush, this stuff in Idaho and Nevada will rip the coolant hoses off the 570 if not protected, makes for a bad day !!
Both the P3 and E-Line are want to be carbon fiber they are mainly fiber glass with a carbon look
I drill my skid plates with 1" holes for air to the cases
I have a Hyde on the YZ now the fiber glass ones would last about four months in the rocks.
Hyde has what looks like a good coverage skid plate for the husaberg might try one next!

Re: E-Line Skid Plate

I have the P3 CF skid plate and pipe guard on my bike which has held up good so far (2,000+ miles) in the New England rocks.
