Pivot Pegz

Has anybody run the Pivot Pegs on their Husaberg?

I can't adjust the shift lever high enough or the brake pedal low enough for my liking, and these look like they might just solve my problem.

Re: Pivot Pegz

See my thread on the shift lever.

I too had a problem with the brake lever but was able to adjust it quite a bit to suit my needs. I know several people that have Pivot Pegz and they do work as advertised. Most people really like them but a few simply can't get used to the pivot action and ended up putting on their OEM pegs. I personally intend to purchase a set of Pivot Pegs as soon as $$ permits.

Re: Pivot Pegz

For my brake, I cut a bit off the plunger rod (threaded end), and made a new bigger cam for the stop. Worked great..

I think pivot pegs would be great for standup riding.

I dont know why you cant get enough height adjustment. My problem was an on or off rear brake. No in between.
FWIW I run Pivot Pegz on my 05 650 and I find them a massive help with rear brake modulation and gear shifting.
Possibly the best thing i have done or bought for my bike.

Re: Pivot Pegz

Sixfiddy, if I adjust the rear brake pedal to my liking, it's low enough that the plunger covers the return orifice and the rear brake eventually locks up. When the manual says that there is a limit to the adjustability, they mean business.

Idle, I don't have the means to make a new cam.

Thank you both for your recommendations!

Re: Pivot Pegz

I would be worried if my lever was that low.
It's just begging to get busted off. Hope you have a brake snake.
I suggest you take out the clevis pin and remove a few mm from the brake rod.
This should allow the piston to return to where it will open the return orifice and you to have the lever at your desired level and the piston to return to it's seat, letting the fluid in.

Sit back, have a beer and stare at that point of the bike and the answer will come. Works for me every time!

Cheers
Todd

That is how my brake was when adjusted as low as I cold get it.
Not cool..
I only cut about 1/4" off the threaded end of the rod. Then made a new cam out of 1" round aluminum and drilled a hole in it off center. It now has a little slack in it like it's esposed to.
