Are KTM and Berg rear shocks inter-changeable?

RE: KTM shocks

not without changing the lower mounting eye as husabergs fit into the swingarm where as the ktm attaches to that knobble that sticks up

Requires that you drop the nitrogen out of the reservoir, and you will also loose fluid when you pull the clevis.

Its best done by a suspension shop- unless you have experiene servicing/bleeding/charging WP shocks and all the tools to do so.

I thought the length of the shock itself was different as well?

I think you will find a couple of variants in shaft length, shock body length, not just between KTM and Husaberg, but between years themselves- ie top out spring vs non top out spring shocks- but the fact of the matter is its all 5018 and the clevises will swap over- and length is tuneable by juggling spacers etc (I believe Race Tech now offer off the shelf internal spacers)

A smart shock buyer would do all the research first to determine what is suitable- but with the amount of Husabergs that end up as part outs I cant really see the need to build a Berg shock out of a KTM unit.

Its a pretty non specific question (the original one)- hence the non specific answer .I believe its PDSs we are talking??
