Hi Dale,

Not wishing you to give away any secrets, but is your set up for the Husaberg's similar to what you would do to a KTM?
I'm in the U.K. and cant find anyone with experience with the new Burg's. But plenty with a good reputation on KTM suspension.

HI Nick,

The Berg is going to be different from the KTM's b/c of the centralized mass, E.G. crank location. So, someone would have to know how to compensate for that. If someone just does a set up for a KTM on your bike it's not going to be right. Sorry.

I'd be happy to do the work on it, but, the shipping would be expensive.

Re: Dale 'E' O Engineering DOES GREAT suspension!

Dear Dale:

I wanted to post some feedback on the full re-valve, re-spring rear, and tune for my 2010 FX-450 suspension that you performed a few months back. Until now, I had not been able to get out on the bike since our hare scrambles season was over. Having just arrived back from Crested Butte, CO I was able to test the bike and suspension for three solid days. The result was amazing!

I am 250 lbs. with gear, intermediate rider from Winter Park, FL who will run in Super Senior C Hare Scrambles in Florida Trail Riders and a few Enduros. I started riding again this spring after a 25 year hiatus from bikes; in the past I raced motocross in Florida. I have never ridden rocks, streams, and hard-scrabble before.

Prior to the work you did, the bike was totally mushed out, would not track in corners, would not hold in sandy whoops, and was bottoming on small jumps. Since your work, I have experienced no condition when I feel like I am not in total control. Be it slow gnarly rocky stream sections or expansive high-speed whoops, the bike tracks true and eats up the terrain. It is entirely responsive to my inputs.

I appreciate your quick responses to my tuning questions. Since my past riding experiences were in the days of the Mono-Shock and Full Floater, I have little familiarity with any of the modern adjustments. Your careful and timely inputs have allowed me to make adjustments to make the system work well. I was especially appreciative of your immediate response last Sunday when I called from Silverton, CO. After three days of riding 10-12 hours, my rear was sagging a little! So, your help made the bike much more comfortable for my slower speeds and tired body. Back to race tune now though!

Best,

William St. Laurent

Re: Dale 'E' O Engineering DOES suspension!

Thanks for the great write up William! I'm glad that your Colorado trip was a success!

For any of you thinking of getting your suspension done with a quick turn around, I would suggest that now is the time. The main riding season is fast approaching and I am getting more and more orders, and I expect that by mid September I will be very busy.

Thanks again to everyone who has given me such good reviews here and on other sites! It makes it all worth while seeing all of you getting the most out of your bike!

Dale

Re: Dale 'E' O Engineering DOES suspension!

I got to do some fairly technical riding last weekend. While others were getting thrown around on the bowling ball sized rocks, my Berg ate it up with style. It was nice to really feel in control.

I traded bikes for a while with a guy that rides an old XR400. The first thing I noticed was how fat his tank was. The first thing he noticed was how nice my suspension was! He was instantly impressed.

To keep from hi jacking the Factory connection thread....................

Here's my quote for doing someone's suspension who lives in the UAE. This includes a custom color shock spring, fork springs, and revlave on both ends.
