Converting Fe570 to supermoto what sprocket sizes would be recommended?

I just bought a new counter shaft seal kit "to fix some leaking oil" and would like to swap out the front sprocket at the same time for the SM setup. Was wondering what gearing everyone was using when they covert the Fe's?

Also, like I said I bought this Kit P#"00050000941" but it comes with two spacer seals. One gold and one silver. The guy at the shop said the new bikes use the gold one but didn't know if they would work for just any bike.

Heres a picture of what all came with it. The top two are the parts in question.

14/38 14/40 14/42 I like 14/42 till you get use to it but FS570 can with 14/40 works OK for Me. Be sure to grease the seals.

Is that gearing for the FS model or the FE model? From what I understand the FS model has a close ratio trans and the FE uses a Wide ratio. So I would think Ideally I would want as large a front sprocket as possible and as small as possible in the rear.

I believe fs/fe ratios are the same...
If so and you put 15 on front (biggest that will fit) and 38 rear the gearing is super long....
I currently have 14/43 on my fs570 its a little short but bike still capable of 170-180 sometimes I switch to 15 front....

Bought the FS570 used it came with 14/40. FE570 put on the 14/42 was high but got use to it can't tell if gearing are different between FS and FE when I get the time I'll check

Thanks allot Rainerio. Yeah, still not sure what would be best. Though, I do know I would like First gear to have some sense of usefulness...

San Francisco/Bay Area lots of Hills so think about that. As geared 14/40 75mph no problem at all. Had it geared 14/48 55mph maybe 60mph

I just checked the book and it says the FE has gear ratio is the following

Primary Transmission 33:76
1st 14:36
2nd 17:32
3rd 19:28
4th 22:26
5th 24:23
6th 26:21

That's all I could find.

In the 2011 manuals FS and FE gearing is the same. final drive from manuals FS is 14/38 and FE is 14/42. For off-road I use 14/48 but thinking 14/52 would be better.
