Converting my FE to an FS

Hello,
I interested in converting my 06 FE650 to an FS. I own 3 FE 650s.
I'm cruising the 06 around town and through the streets to work so want to convert it for a while.
I know most of the things I need but would like to know if I am forgetting anything.
Supermoto wheels , rotors and gearing
Beringer 6 pot caliper , bro 12 master cylinder , brake lever.
48 fork springs ( I have ), 8.8 shock spring.
17mm offset triple clamps
Front fender and graphics that say FS650. Don't need sliders right now.
I'm sure there must be something else..

I'm on hold right now until I sell the green sticker 05. I am also interested in trading it for some or all of the supermoto setup in case anyone is interested.
Also looking for a full Akrapovic sysrem.

Re: Converting my FE to an FS

Looks like I would need to swap suspension too.

I think you just about covered it. I would have said that the shock and forks are totally different but you beat me to it. you need my jetting kit of course f you are going to 'strike a pose' and pull wheelies like a great big adolescent again!

practice those doughnuts dude!

Re: Converting my FE to an FS

Seems many people over the years have this question, since suspension is so subjective & personal leaving valving out of the equation right now,
1. what is the range of Ft & Rr spring rates for SM use with the 00-08 models that.
2. Who would you recommend for WP revalve / shorten forks & shock to FS specs
3. Old post rec' Sag Rr 90mm / 30mm static, Ft 35mm assume that's static ? 0.48kg Ft / 8.8kg Rr springs, 8.8 seems soft ?

As a footnote US supermoto getting started section, doesn't recommend shortening susp' but just lower front via triple clamps, I had built a KX500 supermoto which I raced at Loudon NH in road racing back in late 90's I lower the bike several times but found out < 1.5" worked best

Re: Converting my FE to an FS

I decided to keep my 06 FE650 as an enduro.
For street I am enjoying my 2013 Triumph Bonneville and commuting every day to work.
It is truly an awsome machine and I plan on getting a lot of miles out of it.

My 650 is finally done. Supermoto suspension, FTE Beringer 4 piston caliper with lever and master cylinder, 16/18 triples, Doma slip on, DNA wheels with 3.5 front and 5 rear. Michelin Pilot power 2ct tires, supermoto fender and a few other little items and mods to make it work.
I offsetted the front wheel to clear the caliper.

Good deal...

What gearing did you settle on?

I'm running 17/47 for road use, 16/47 kart track.

Edit:
Make sure your tire clears the exhaust can. Mine was "hitting" the can and it broke spokes and cracked the rim at the dimples...8 of them.
That was with the stock pilot power, a narrow tire.

Pull the shock to make sure it clears or just rubs. A little rubbing is ok, hitting and not passing it: not ok lol
