Chain snapped... :-(

Hi guys n girls,

Had a sad day today. Took the bike out for a little blert, & shortly into the ride the chain snapped. Scored the rear anodised wheel rim badly, so they're a right off...

Anyway, I'm looking for a fairly good quality replacement chain, I believe "x-link" are the best, owing to seal quality/debris ingress reduction, and high tensile strength.

I want to order one, but see there are different pitches??

How can I find out the correct pitch chain for my bike?

I also want to buy a cut & rivet press so I can do the work myself in future. Would the below be suitable for the chain I intend to get?

Many Thanks

Sorted, am told ours is a "520", and am getting a "soft link" or "rivet link" connector + the tool I hyper-linked.

Getting an IRIS, as I believe the tensile strength is not as good on the more expensive varieties (DID etc)

DID ERT2.

Cheap non o-ring chain that lasts damn long and is light. No need for rivet link.

Bought a DID rivet O-ring link & lent a DID (copy) riveting tool off a friend, worked like a dream, and bikes back on the road.

If anyone has the same issue and needs any tips, give me a shout.

Cheers
