Mine broke 2 bones in my foot a few years back when I was new to Bergs, wrong top dead centre is your problem, get the wrong TDC and it will be quite ferocious. I only did it once mind, after that I would kick it slowly until I found the right TDC then it would fire 1st kick every time.
I can imagine you hoping round the garage though shouting some rather crude words for a good few minutes!

Yes, I think words like "bloody bounder", "flip" & "crikey" were used....

Yeah, just a final question I've never been sure of, are you supposed to do owt with the decompression lever whilst trying to start of the button. The video above includes with & without, so you can see the starter clutch issue still affects both, however, somebody told me you should hold in the lever initially, let the engine turn a few times to get up to speed, then dump the lever?

I've never really been sure if there is a optimum procedure for e-starting in this way, OR it should just start by simply pressing the button (with use of the cold start on/off obviously).

Thanks

Geez, on mine I just push the button with no throttle and it goes within a turn or 2, cold (with choke) or hot (no choke obviously). I feel fortunate. I also get 2 kick cold starts and 1 kick hot....... I love my Berg.

Thanks Bonegraft, it was more a question of decompression lever use & not the throttle, was that what you were refering to?

Cheers

Hope your healing up Crispin, never use the manual de-comp on the 450 and removed it from the 650 when i fitted the dutch clog cam de-comp.

Nice one, cheers pal!

Took the stitches out a few days ago, scabbing gone, looks like a nasty scar, but hey, Hussa war wounds are always impressive amongst your chums!

Thanks
