Thanks pollo, I'll be taping it so I can watch it again when I get home. First time I've gone to the opener in a few years. I usually go to the one in February.

I have a friend who, shall we say is connected. We are going as "guests" of KTM north America. So I don't know where my seats are at,but,I have a feeling they might be pretty good.

Any Bergs competing? Iwas welll impressed at the Madrid X Fighters to see a guy on a Husky four stroke doing a 540 (see you tube) so a Berg at a supercross would be mind blowing

Last time I remember anyone riding a berg at a sx was Micky Diamond sometime ago. With the way the new bike handles, I would think that they would work good. I don't know if KTM would want that though.

Just a quick report,

The racing last night at A1 was fantastic! There was a little rain during final timed practice but not enough to make the track slippery. In fact the dirt looked typically so cal clay, in a word tacky.

Both of the mains were exciting and unpredictable to say the least! Jason Lawernce could have won if he didn't have his little mishap with I think Trey Canard on the big triple jump face, as he came back through the field from second to dead last to finish 4th. He kept pushing throughout the race and was really on the move towards the end of the main. I noticed when he rode by at the finish that his hair wasn't even wet, great conditioning for sure.

The 450 main was great and the battle that everyone wanted to see materialized as Stewart and Reed were duking it out with Reed chasing down and passing Stewart. Stewart came back and had passed Reed but could not pull away. And sadly, it looked like Stewart missed a shift or hit neutral and since Reed was so close they touched and both went down with Stewart hitting the ground hard. Reed was up and on his way pretty quickly. But Stewart was slow to his feet and was just getting his bike going shakily, and pulled right in front of Windham who was running in either 3 or 4th at that moment and would have easily caught 3rd. This sent Stewart to the ground again, and stopped Windham in his tracks. Windham had a hard time finding neutral and getting going again. Not sure where he ended up.

Josh Grant who went on to win caught a tuff block cover or banner in the right side of his rear wheel, and it was smoking. Before he noticed it, he went off a double and his rear wheel stopped putting him on his nose, but he recovered and went on to finish his first 450 race in first place, and it was the first race for the Joe Gibbs racing team and their first win as well. What wasn't seen on TV was that during practice Josh Grant had a pretty big off in the rhythm section just after the first turn.

It was a great show! Hope you all caught it on speed, or at least on one of the re broadcasts.

I couldn't believe what Reed had for Bubba...I honestly didn't think he was going to match Bubba's speed, and he did it well. JS's repass was clean, but he was very much on the edge getting there. Excellent race.
