I Ride:
solid weekend at the WEC in Portugal

Lunggren gets 3rd and DNF (electrical problem), Salonen takes 3rd on day 2, and Bjorne takes 7th both days (on the old bike).
The Hbg team riders now sit in 3rd and 4th in E2 points and 4th in E3. We'll see how Bjorne does on the new 570 when he gets it, maybe he can move up the ladder in the ultra competative E3 class. The 1-2 punch of Lunggren and Salonen are going to make it tough for the others in E2, expect to see one or both on the podium on a regular basis!

Dag 1 gick kanon bra för mig och ja lyckades komma pĺ pallen. Hade inte vĺgat hoppats pĺ ett sĺdant resultat här nere. Inför sista Extrem provet lĺg jag 4.a men gjorde en riktigt bra tid och lyckades passera Bellometti och bli 3.a. Efter Aubert och Saliminen som var överlägsna.
Day 1 was great for me and I managed to get a podium finish. Hadn't dared to hope for such a result down here. Before the last extreme test I was 4th men did a great time and passed Bellometti and finished 3rd. After Aubert and Salminen who were superior.

Dag 2 trodde jag de skulle gĺ lika bra för det hade regnat mycket under natten och proven skulle bli svĺra med djupa spĺr som jag gillar och kör bra i.
Men!!! Till första provet kändes allt kanon bra men i första svängen pĺ Enduro provet började hojjen gĺ illa. De smällde och miss tände hela tiden och de var precis att ja kom i mĺl.
I thought day 2 would be just as great since it had rained alot during the night and the tests were going to be difficult with deep ruts that I like and usually ride good in. But!. Until the first test everything felt great but in the first turn of the enduro test the bike started to run badly. It misfired all the time and I barely finished

När jag sedan stannade hojjen gick det inte att fĺ igĺng igen. Jag och 2 mekaniker, varav en frĺn Österrike som byggt hojjen stod o letade och funderade vad felat var. Jag kollade alla kablar och säkringar m.m och hittade inget fel. Jag blev över 15min sen och dĺ är man ute ur tävlingen sĺ det var bara att bryta!
Senare när vi letade mer sĺ hittade vi att tvĺ kablar frĺn startknappen hade gĺtt av pĺ baksidan av en kontakt under lyset och det gjorde att de kortslöt elsystemet!
When I stopped the bike it wouldn't restart. Me and two mechanics, one of them from Austria who built the bike, looked for the fault. I checked all the cables, fuses and so on but couldn't find anything. I was over 15mins late and that means a DNF.
Later on when we looked some more we found two cables going from the starter button were cut in a coupling behind the headlight which shortened the electrical system.


Sĺ är det ibland i Racing, de är bara att glömma och fokusera pĺ nästa tävling i Spanien till helgen. Synd bara att jag lĺg grymt bra för att kunna vara pĺ pallen i ĺrets slut som var mitt mĺl. Nu kommer det bli betydligt svĺrare men ska ta dag för dag och försöka stĺ pĺ pallen sĺ mycket jag kan.
Thats racing sometimes, just have to forget it and focus on the next race in Spain the upcoming weekend. It's a shame cause I was in a great spot for being on the podium at the end of the year, which is my goal. Now it will be much more hard but I'll take it day by day and try to manage as many podiums as I can.

So there we got an explanation to the electrical problem... A couple of cut wires

BTW: If anyone else here that speak Swedish think I have made any mistakes please tell so we'll get a better translation.
