Ride To Santiago Peak, Orange County, CA

I have been wanting to do this for a long time and finally got the time. I highly recommend this to anyone with an enduro street legal motorcycle. It is a easy ride with great views. From the Maple Springs Visitor Center it is 13 miles to the peak at 5600'. First four miles are paved and the last two miles are very rocky. You just have to watch out for the vehicles, mountain bikes, and electric bicycles and wear goggles because of the dust. Next time I will go down the east side of the peak, gas up at I15, then head back over. Should be about a three hour ride.

Great ride! Can't believe it's so close to LA! Is that anywhere near where the Elsinore races were back in the day? A long lost friend rode that and raved about it....
How's life in LaLa land? Probably another world to here......at least you won't get bored with the news every day......stay safe-

It is just east of Irving. You have to go near Victorville to get into the desert.

Great Pics Evin! Street legal trails only up there unless you are hiking or mountain bike riding. I was told there are some hidden trails on the east side but I cannot confirm.

On the east side of Santiago Peak and a little south is where they held the Elsinore races many years ago. Urban sprawl took over the area.
