Rekluse clutch

I have an '12 Berg 390 and I've been wondering If It's worth while investing In a rekluse. I ride some pretty knarly stuff and from what I've heard they help a lot. But has any one got any bad things to say or advice for me? Cheers

I know someone with one on a 570, And he can't get into neutral so every time he wants to roll back he has to turn off his bike go to neutral then start again

I don't like them because they change the way the engine is connected to the wheels and how it influences suspension and mid corner take up with initial throttle opening..

I welded an extension on the clutch lever instead

the only way to find out for sure is to try one.. if it replicates what you normally do with the clutch you will love it

for your model it would be easy to sell second hand if you didn't like it.

I Ride: 02 650 StreetTracker, 92 K100 Special, 92 Triumph Cafe Racer.
I've had one fitted to my 08 450 for three years, no problems at all.
I have kept the clutch lever fitted so can override it if needed but haven't had to use it.

I ride/race tight gnarly stuff. I've fitted an auto clutch in every bike I've had. I also remove the clutch lever and rear brake pedal and add a left hand rear brake. I love the auto clutch, one less think to think about. Stalling is almost non existent.

I have had the rekluse z start pro (discontinued) for the last 3 years. I would recommend keeping the clutch lever for the 390 to get the front end light over rocks and logs. Ride a gear high when it gets too slippery...Only downfall is that when the bike does cut out on a hill climb, then you are essentially in neutral. Rarely happens, but beware! I still constantly use the clutch to find the powerband. I think the 525 ktm and a few others fit as well, if you are looking at used ones... They last forever.

I have a recluse on mine and love it! When riding tight stuff and hills it makes it so much easier to ride. I would not ride without one after having one for a while. Get it, you won't regret it!
