G'Day Pete,
Sounds good mate. Get that licence and register the bike. It's just a better option all round.
Yes it's very good riding in that area, I will be very surprised if any one doesn't enjoy it !!!
The venue is great as well. With a hall that serves as an Army style Mess hall. For a moderate cost they will cater a full roast dinner and cooked breakfast or what ever you want. Have a look at their web site that I posted above.

Cheers
Garry.

Here is a Google Map link to the Black Gold Country Cabins. Zoom out to check out the Force Ride Oz 2008 area. Google Earth is even better - the best thing on the internet by far.........

Glad to hear we have chosen a location. Louee, whilst being the easiest choice last year, did lack & after talking to Cafey18 about the new location I reckon it's all thumbs up

Lets get/keep the ball rolling by booking some accomodation asap as it spoiled things a little last year with half the crew staying in a different location. Any talk of a date yet ?

As posted above Wal, we are looking at 23/24/25 May 2008, (well clear of Mother's Day). I have spoken to Rob at Black and Gold Cabins tonight and accommodation will be set aside for the UHE Force Ride, but accommodation needs to be individually booked ASAP as the reservation will end approx one month before the ride. So don't leave it to the last thing or you may end up in a tent out the back !!! More details on costs will be posted closer to the event.

Cheers
Garry.

Like cafey18 says, Wallerawang offers great riding, with heaps of smooth flowing single track. One trail just did not stop, or come to an intersection for almost 1/2 an hour. The conditions last weekend were perfect, moist sandy loam at OMC (optimum moisture content) which is a technical term for the dirt waqsn't too wet of too dry and was maximum strength. most corners with a berm, heaven. Some fire trails and transmission line tracks and a few hills too. Just got to ride a few kms out of town to get there from the cabins which is a top value for money venue.

The plan is a suspension workshop on the Friday and riding Saturday and Sunday with the locals leading us into the really good stuff. As soon as the date is confirmed, get your booking in with Black&Gold and book your suspension with eiither me or MeDogRocket. Let your non UHE Berg riding mates know too, and if a non Berg rider is desperate, well I guess they are welcome too. Also see if you can drum up some interest from your dealer. Start accumulating thos brownie points NOW.

Lets make this THE EVENT of the 2008.

Steve
