2005 fe 450

Picked it up last week and I absolutely love it.

Is there a site that has Berg parts for the year/ model I have!

Also, do they come with an hour meter? I canít find one.

Probably no way to tell how many hours/miles on it?

Thank you

if it has an odometer, cycle through the functions tapping the button on the right to land on ART or accumulated run time (hours).

I have an 05 FE550. Multifunction odometer same as the KTM ones of the era. I get my bearings (wheel, swingarm, headrace) and other things like carb rebuild kits from ebay and Amazon. Other vendors I've used for parts:

Cyclebuy
Taffmeisters
RockyMountainATV

Also handy if you have the parts manual to look up part numbers. I think this site has links to the manuals.

I have the manuals in a link on the front page of my web site.

I do most all the stuff that can be bought still for these and many modifications that others like Amazon and and those other two can't and won't help you with.

proper old school support and advice.

Thank you to everyone.

I would have to say there is literally no history on this bike. I'm a fool for taking the guys word for everything that he was saying, but live and learn.

Is it possible that a 15 year old bike FE450 could have gone without a piston replacement? In other words, could this bike currently still have the original piston? Thoughts?

Overall, the bike is absolutely awesome, runs great, and alot of fun on the trails.

Thank you everyone.

I'd say it is unlikely. but you can spot OEM when you look at the piston. not everyone went OEM at rebuild time and things like silicon smeared around and knobbled corners to bolts might be a clue. doubtful unless your auntie Jess was riding it.

Thank you.

That's great advice.

I do recall seeing something blue around there.

Thank you
