I Ride: 2003 470 supermoto
New uk member

Hi everyone. I'm new to the husaberg world. Just purchased a 2003 470 supermoto. She hasn't ran for 5 years. Any advice would be welcome. Not electric start, kick start only. I've dumped out the old oil and put new oil and engine flush, new air filter, cleaned out the petrol tank and lines. Spark plug seems ok. I kicked it over. It ran very briefly after 10 minutes of kicking. Won't start now. Any advice welcome.

check the stator readings with a multimeter.

ohms resistance.
green to black =165 ohms
red to black 2,750 ohms.

it is the red to black that goes.

you've bought the bike that is the most unreliable and needs the most work. everyone buys them cheap, does half a job on them then sells them on. there's no record of anyone being a regular rider of a 470. I don't envy you.

try and get my 'easy start' kit and also go into my facebook videos paying attention to the ignition timing videos.

I'd also recommend my 'sledge mod'.

yes, that is two very important items. a good kick of a Husaberg with the carb, ignition and tappets done is 60% of the job done!
