I Ride: 2010 Husaberg FE390
New to the Husaberg Family

Hi everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself to you all as a new member of the family.
After quite a long process I finally pulled the trigger and purchased a 2010 Husaberg FE390 and I cant remember the lats time I was this excited. I literally sent messages with pictures of the bike to people i havent spoken to in years to share the happy news.

Unfortunately winter is in full swing here in Canada so will have to bide my time till I can actually take her out on the trails but that does little to dampen my excitement.

Look forward to sharing some good memories.
Happy holidays to all.
Thanks from Huskyfatman, fedge, TomTom and 3 others

Things to check in Winter , rear fender screws , flush/bleed brakes clean grease pins , add a tank shock filter also check/replace all fuel filters 2 in tank 1 at disconnect and last is at the injectior , clean up electrical connections as needed and put dielectric grease on them as a kind of a seal from mud/water (do this 1 at time if there’s a problem easy to find/fix check by starting , running , check lights , replace water/antifreeze , check wheel bearings if anyone go’s bad it’s the sprocket side. If any part might fail it will be the fuel pump.

Welcome to the "club." I ride a 2011 FE390 and my son-in-law rides a 2010 FE390. I am 6'3" and 210 lbs. - he is 6'4" and 220 lbs. I had some suspension work done on the 390 last summer, adjusted for my weight + 30 lbs of gear - also had it lowered 2 inches (I'm 70 years old and just like it lower). We rode 436 miles of back country roads on the TransAmerica Trail last September - all in Colorado (I live in SW Colorado). The bike was a dream in all conditions, over 400 miles of dirt/mountain passes and about 15 - 18 miles of pavement. All stock except the suspension and a few upgrades like electric fan behind radiator, bar risers, etc. FMF exhaust is the only performance upgrade. I leave the mapping on the middle setting and get about 45 - 55 mpg, depending on conditions and my wrist twist! I ride pretty conservatively. I've never ridden a better trail bike! (We run Pirelli MT21 and MT43 tires - lots of rock, very little mud or sand where we live.) CONGRATS!!! Keep us posted. -HusaGeezer in Colorado

One more thing from HusaGeezer: You might check out these two Youtube channels - one Canadian and one Aussie - very well done vids on cycling, on and off road.
"Fortnine" - the Canadian, one of the best Youtube guys out there.
"Adventure OZ" and "Cross Training Endure Skills" both by the Aussie guy.
