crazy customers! Nations of the world!

13 years of talking Huseys on the phone etc so this is what I make of everything

funniest accent;
a Polish Irishman (he hangs around here so I hope he doesn't see it!)

Most pleasantly surprised by;
Kiwis. I can't stand the All-Blacks or the way they play so I didn't expect to like Kiwis but they have turned out to be the nearest to my spirit; try anything - make anything!

cleverest (can't give them half a clue or they'll make it themselves!)
The Poles, by a long shot! It's like dealing with a Cobra.

the Stupidest;
well, they can be from anywhere in the North of Eng.... usually the States.

The coolest;
Norwegians. sounds like they are on one permanent trip!

sexiest accent;
Finland. Good job I don't have female Finn customers - there's be a restraining order on me!

Best English as a second language;
Sweden, easily. No accent at all. perfect English. even their written English is better than 50% of the English.

least discernable accent (means; where is he from?)
The Greeks. Takes 5 minutes sometimes before they drop a hint.

thickest accent/can't understand a word; Has to be the
Spanish I'm afraid. The portuguese are very good surprisingly.

country I'm surprised to do so much business with;
Norway.

country I'm the most disappointed to do so little business with;
Germany followed by France. Maybe there are no Husabergs there?

tightest customers; all the old Eastern Block and anyone from the North of England! they are terrible!

Good sense of humour!!!!!!!; The Irish and half the Australians. There isn't an Irishman that doesn't laugh...business execs, all of them. Funny people!

The Aussies come in Old and happy v young and not so much. So sussing someone's age in Oz and then adapting is important.

Politest customers; Denmark and Sweden for sure followed closely by Americans. especially the older ones.

Richest customers; It used to be the Greeks! They spent money like there was no tomorrow! not sure now?

cleverest customers;
The Swedes probably. They all have a degree in philosophy!

strangest customers;
Canooks! I can never get a handle on the Canadians. They have one foot in the American camp and don't get anything and one foot in the commonwealth camp and they "rip the piss", chuck in the French who have no sense of humour and as you can tell, Canadians are a strange bunch!

sense of humour.
consistantly always get "it"; that's easy; The Dutch. Just say something funny and off go the Dutch - just like us!

The least trustworthy customers;
there's a saying that "if it touches the Mediterranean - watch out!". I found the Greeks to be great but we had some small problems at the beginning to the west...nowadays though with people paying up front its OK. It was me that had to sharpen up.

Customers that trust us the least (ask 5 times, spend once)
Always the Turks. Major language problems and they think everyone wants to cheat them...what a shame.

Best engineers as people;
Probably the Kiwis. I still don't like the All Blacks though!

thickest Accent;
South Africans. Never understand a word!

Country that punches above its weight with orders;
Iceland. not enough people to fill a small town yet they must use Husabergs for taxis!

so there you go!
I will think of a few more if I can. maybe you have a question for me?

I once had a mum on the phone breaking all my technical explanations down for her Husband and Son. YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE THAT ONE!

I used to take orders off a man who stopped to go and change a film because he was a cinema projectionist!

cheers

Taffy

Hands down, Taffy wins the 'net today! Made my morning with this one!

disclaimer...I don't even have a 'berg anymore, but my co-worker bought/owns my old FX450, so I still follow.

I like that those of us in the States are considered the window lickers on the short bus of the international husaberg community.
