Hey Canadian Husaberg fans, good news here???

Well this was a bit weird to say the least.. This guy's truck broke down. So I picked him up to the nearest truck stop. Talking went on into bikes. And this dude seams interesting. He said that he found a way to get Husberg into Canada and blue plate it the other way. I go, whadja mean man? There is tons of red tape and l checked personally and Husaberg is not on the "permissable list" so its not allowed into Canada officials told that to me. Then this dude says. Nonono man! U went the wrong way about it. U got to take example from da elites. U know find da way. So l go go like, dude whadja mean. Now he tells ma a story what he did himself. He seys. I got a bike almost 100% what l wanted like new in US all legit nd verified, title in hand and registered on road. Then guess what? Another almost identical bike for sale with extras galore for a grand less! Just smaller engine and take this - both 2008 Husabergs. So now he got my attention. I let him speak l pull his tongue and this guy keeps talking. So he goes on. So I talk to my buddyin US, hey dude can you take a couple of bikes for me to a mechanics shop in Canada. So his buddy takes the bikes to a garage for the repairs in Canada. He says next you need an affidavit stating that this motorcycle you bought and it's never been registered before that's why there is no ownership. He says his lawyer from buying homes got him this affidavit. With that in hand he went and registered in his name. Motorcycle unfit. Next did safety and such at local Suzuki dealer. Next with safety in hand he got blue plates for the road! I said listen man your story's bit convincing but its best to just stay away from problems man. And he goes. I've learned from our politicians. Not too long later I'm at the Mto for somethin. So I remembered that weirdo. So I ask this fine lady what's thwe way to register a bike if it never been registered before. And guess what. I nearly shit myself. She says, well son you'll need to get an affidavit from someone that has a notariarity status. And she grabs a paper that explains who can do affidavit and what information needs to be included on there..... Guess what, this dude knew his stuff. Mto lady just basically confirmed what that what I thought was a.weirdo told me just a weak before! What do you guys think is it possible?

You can get thru thru hoops and get a bike plated but it still is not legal. If you get in an accident does your insurance cover you? I am still waiting for someone who has had a claim to post up This has been going on since 2009

See rules posted by Commercial Vehicle Safety
& Enforcement

If you are pulled over and your bike does not pass inspection your plate will be pulled

It still does not meet Canadian safety standards.

If you put a horn blinkers, brake lights and head lights on a top fuel dragster can you drive it on the road? Nope it does not meet safety standards.

I was told it takes about 50,000 per model to get a bike approved to meet Transport Canada's standards

Yes I'd agree with you, but in this case we know that US and Canadian bikes are identical that I'm talking about here. Same goes with road and off road bikes. They are exactly the same. Only difference is off road bikes are just missing road kit. That might mean no dot tires, no lights, no horn, no blinkers and no brake switches on front brake. Back brake light is there. Frames, suspension, brakes, engines all same. I think in US in 2008 they were not 50 state legal for emissions.

I don't know the rule of there but just an idea...is it possible to ship the bike from USA to Canada in pices as excuse of using it for parts ...then when in Canada buy a used plated frame or one of yours and copy the VIN number on the other frame (I don't want to look bad its ''illegal'' but you know)

What are you doing?

hello Polska. Hold on there podner! Forget all that bs. Canada is crawling with Husabergs. Don`t import a thing. That suspect bike shop International in north Langley always has a couple. Kijiji or Craigs always has some. On most trail rides some joker flys by on one. I know a few guys with them. In fact, the best looking one anywhere is for sale. It is a FE400E Elduro. Very fast, looks mint, has original speedo pod, needs a bit more street equipment. I never wanted it on the road. I no longer need anything that fast, or have time to fix it. Needs new start button / kill switch. Some extras, Everything lubed and adjusted. Not asking much. L

I've tried 450 and 550 in fe trim. Also I have fs550. I prefer 550. I want 650 with big bore for fs. Does North Langley bike shop have a website? Can you share their contact? Here in Ontario they are nearly non existent.
