Like a few others here I also have a KTM 950 that I bought new in 04. It was my first new bike and I put a lot of miles on it (relatively speaking) and after 75,000 I blew up the engine and decided to put a 990 engine in from an SMR and that lead to the bike being apart for a few years.
The engine ended up with 41mm FCR's and a full custom stainless exhaust but the real work was the conversion to all wheel drive heavily adapting a Christini system to run within the rails. Unless you know what you're looking at you'd never know the bike is anything different but on dirt the difference is obvious.

for this bike over on ADV and I doubt the bike is finished yet. I honed my stainless welding on the exhaust and I'm now working on my aluminum tig welding so the thought of custom tanks has crossed my mind but for now I'm trying to resist any more projects and just finish some of the many that I have going.
